The terms and conditions stated below, along with the privacy policy identify what you, as a user of ArtworkBySonja.com (“you” or “User”) can expect from ArtworkBySonja.com, its parent, subsidiaries, and affiliates (together referred to herein as “sonjaart.com”) and what ArtworkbySonja.com in turn expects from Users.

We do not use, nor share your personal contact information for any reason other than to fulfil your request (such as to fill an order) or to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We do not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfil your request (such as to ship an order). Shipping
At Artwork by Sonja our goal is to offer you the best shipping options for your new artwork purchase.
Processing time: Order verification, customization, quality check and packaging. All orders are checked and confirmed within 24 hours after your order is placed. Inventory, such as ready-to-hang artworks or unframed prints, will be prepared for shipping. Custom artwork orders will be placed on the artist's commission calendar and the artist will be in contact about the completion timeframe.
Shipping time: This refers to the time it takes for items to be shipped from our studio to the destination. International delivery usually takes about 15–30 business days. U. S. orders are shipped via United States Postal Service and usually take between 2 and 14 days to arrive at their destination.
Shipping costs: Costs may vary based on the size and weight of the artwork that you are purchasing. Please check shipping rates for each artwork. If purchasing more than one artwork, shipping weights will be combined.
All orders are shipped from Sonja's studio within 2-4 days of order and will be shipped via USPS, please see options available at checkout. Our shipping methods are valid on orders placed by 4:00pm EST, Monday through Thursday, excluding national holidays.
Local buyers to Central Virginia may pick up the artwork from the Fredericksburg area by contacting Sonja to arrange local delivery/pick up. All other artworks will be shipped to the address of your choice for the additional cost of shipping.
Return Policy
Returns accepted for 30 days
Shipping costs are non-refundable

Retail artwork in web catalog: Please request additional photos or a video if you'd like to see more details about the artwork(s) before purchasing.
Custom artwork: Commissions are the creative result of our conversations about your proposed piece of art. In most cases, the artist is able to make small adjustments to your custom piece if you see something not quite right. The artist works to ensure that you are completely happy with your commissioned artwork.

In the event that you are unhappy with your artwork purchase, you must notify us within 5 days of receipt of the artwork, and return the artwork within 30 days in the same condition that you received it. We will refund 90% of your purchase price upon 1) receipt of the item and 2) a full inspection of the artwork to ensure that it is unaltered or undamaged. Shipping fees are not refundable.
If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at art@artworkbysonja.com.
Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at art@artworkbysonja.com and send your item to: 17182 Perinchief Street, Ruther Glen, VA 22546.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

Our store is hosted on Squarespace. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
